Green Day's Big Announcements On Tour Dates And ¡Tré!

We all should know by now that Billie Joe Armstrong is still in rehab for substance abuse. Green Day has made some pretty big decisions that might bum some of you out. They have cancelled of their remaining 2012 shows and postponed the 2013 North American tour. Bad news eh? It is for the best though.

Of course there was an explanation for all these delays. Mike Dirnt said, "Obviously the time for this isn’t ideal, but Billie Joe’s well-being is our main concern. We are happy to say the Billie Joe is doing well, and we want to thank you for all the outpouring of support and well wishes that we have received, and we can’t wait to see you all again soon." No worries though new performance dates for January and February will be announced soon. Tickets are also going to be taken care of.

Here is the good news everyone! The sunshine to your day! Their album ¡Tré! will now be released on December 11 instead of January 15.

Tré Cool also had something to say due to all these changes, "We feel bad we have to delay our tour, so to make up for it we want to give our fans the music earlier than we had planned. If we couldn’t be there to play it for you live, the least we could do was give you the next best thing."

Green Day is such an awesome band! They care about their fans and bumped up the release date to their third album if the trilogy. But hey, their frontman's health comes first! There is no Green Day if their is a sick Billie Joe.
