Deep Purple's Founding Member John Lord Dies At 71


Sad news everyone. Founding Deep Purple member died today in London. What was the cause? Why did this happen? All these questions must be running through your head. It was all confirmed in his official statement that he suffered a pulmonary embolism  in London today. He had a long battle with pancreatic cancer. For those of you who didn't who john Lord was, he was a founding member Deep Purple in 1968 he also co-wrote some of their famous songs. Who knows maybe your favorite deep Purple song was co-written by Lord. He had a solo career from when he retired fro Deep Purple in 2002. Deep Purple did break up in 1976 but later reformed in 1984. He also  was part of another band, not just Deep Purple. It was Whitesnake and he worked with them between 1978 through 1984. All of this isn't even half of his legendary work. Deep Purple is a founding member of heavy metal. John Lord was in Deep Purple during those times. His website however stated that he wasn't alone during his time of death. It said he was "surrounded by his loving family". Well I'm glad he had his family with him. I know John Lord will be missed. I hope he rests in peace. R.I.P.
